The Life Of Michael

Michael Ray King, better known to many as "Big Mike." was born on September 6, 1961 in Jasper, TX, to the late Margie Dale and LJ King.

From a young age, Big Mike was an adventurous country boy at heart.

He enjoyed tinkering and fixing on automobiles and had a passion for fishing.

Through his adulthood he was employed as a Log Truck Driver, Heavy Equipment Operator and Mechanic. He was previously married to Jacqueline where they joined together and shared 11 children; including the 4 they shared together: Ledrick, Michael Jr.

Cherish and Valerie "Jacob."

Big Mike was a dedicated and loyal to his children and grandchildren.

He was a true definition of a family man - through his actions of showing up to take care of the people he loved, even if it was without recognition. Big Mike had an even bigger heart along with a kind, gentle spirit. Everyone around knew when you would call him, he was coming. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his gentle spirit and profound impact.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Margie Dale, son Valerie Jacob King and bonus daughter Ebony Ford.

He leaves to cherish his father, LI King, brother, Wilbert King, children, Ledrick, Michael Jr. and Cherish. Bonus Children; Latisha, Darrel, Herbert, Justin, Edward, Ebony, Marcus, and Latasha. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
